Injuries suck. This is the first time my dominant side (my right side) has properly let me down. My shoulder (and lat) didnt quite see out a squat snatch cycle in December. My ego and excitement in being able to squat snatch again didn’t help either.

Let’s be clear. I’m a very average masters CrossFit athlete (but an amazing coach and judge 😉). Still, fixing my shoulder is paramount to getting back to the sport and passion I love. For so many reasons.

So, here we are. Learning how to use my shoulder and lat again. Learning ALOT about the shoulder joint. Learning how to internally rotate (👀). Being patient. Being a student. Asking questions. Listening. Doing my homework.

I passionately miss so many movements I previously did with relative ease. They’ll come back in time.

If you’re in a similar situation, the three experts I’ve relied upon (and pretty sure I’ve cried in front of):

- @callumm_19 from @peaksportsandspinecentre
- Rach from @brisbane.sports.acupuncture
- Abi from @newfarmchiro

Still a way to go, but I’m dialled in.
