The difference in chromosome count between humans and great apes—such as chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans—is one of the most compelling pieces of evidence for human evolution. While our closest living relatives possess 24 pairs of chromosomes totaling 48, humans possess 23 pairs totaling 46.

The idea that the Anunnaki altered human DNA is a central pillar of Ancient Astronaut theory. A race of extraterrestrials called the Anunnaki came to Earth from a planet named Nibiru roughly 450,000 years ago to mine gold. Telomeres naturally shorten every time a cell divides; when they become too short, the cell can no longer divide and eventually dies. The Purpose: this kill switch was designed to prevent humans from living as long as their creators, ensuring a revolving population of workers that wouldn’t live long enough to challenge their gods
