The Cannes Film Festival is held in May, showcasing new films and celebrating cinema. It attracts filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals from around the world. I was there a few years ago. Still looks nice with the grey skies, and I love Art Deco! #Cannes2026 #film #actor

It was a good year to be the Harvard fund.

In its annual financial report released today, Harvard University revealed that its endowment rose to a record $68 billion in fiscal 2026. For the 12 months ending June 30, the fund outperformed the S&P 500, gaining 27.1% compared to the index’s 22.3% total return. It was the endowment’s strongest year since 2021, rising in value by 19.3%, or $11 billion.

While the fund holds a stake of more than $2 billion in SpaceX, revealed in an August SEC filing, its largest asset allocations went to private equity at 46%, with hedge funds making up an additional 31%. Per that filing, the endowment portfolio held just 19 stocks valued at $4.3 billion.

Faced with mounting pressure and funding cuts from the federal government, the school raised $1.5 billion in donations and distributed $2.6 billion from the endowment, amounting to nearly 40% of the university’s total operating revenue.
