🎭 Happy Actors’ Day, September 8th!

Actors have always played a vital role in human history, telling stories of love, tragedy, and imagination that inspire millions. As someone who works both on stage and behind the mic, I know firsthand the passion and dedication that go into every performance. by @benmayactor

The Cannes Film Festival is held in May, showcasing new films and celebrating cinema. It attracts filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals from around the world. I was there a few years ago. Still looks nice with the grey skies, and I love Art Deco! #Cannes2026 #film #actor by @benmayactor

“What are the odds of meeting someone you’re attracted to and get on really well with, who just happens by some remarkable chance to feel the same way in return?”

We're delighted to announce our next project - a rehearsed reading of new play ‘This Is Not a Romantic Comedy’ @playhouseeaststudios on Saturday 25th April at 7.30pm. Tickets available now at the link in our bio, from £8.

Matt is approaching his 40s plagued by insecurities and struggling to make a connection. Kieran is embarking on his 20s with the world at his feet and brimming with confidence. They can’t talk to anyone else the way they can talk to each other. Perhaps their friendship will blossom into something more?

‘This Is Not a Romantic Comedy’ is a new play about cynical romantics, romantic cynics, the possibility of finding romance no matter how unlikely - and microplastics.

Join us for the first outing of this brilliant new comedy. We're holding this event to meet venues and producers who might be interested in working with us to take this project further - if that’s you, and you’d like to discuss the show, please get in touch.

Tickets are on sale to help cover the cost of running this event. Support the first steps for this gentle, funny piece of new writing by buying a ticket and coming along.

Writer - Chris Fletcher
Director - Jamie Saul
Cast - Benjamin May and Peter Heenan
Producing support - Thomas Duggan taken in Playhouse East by @benmayactor
