We often hear yall at events asking “What can we do about this [insert form of oppression]?” “Will anything ever change?” One of the answers is to organize! We’re hosting our first ever Organizing 101 training graciously facilitated by @soulrevision👏🏾
Kim got her start as a community organizer in 2005 and has continued in that commitment for the last 21 years. In 2018 she co-founded the only bail fund in San Diego with fellow comrades to free community members who are held captive by the predatory bail system. She has spent the last 12 years in the labor movement or where she is responsible for training and developing staff and union members at her job.
From reproductive justice, policing and incarceration, immigration and public health, Kim has worked on various campaigns addressing these issues. In addition to that, she continues to train community on how to organize, develop and win successful campaigns as well as leadership development through her organizing trainings.
This training will be capped at ~ 30 participants so sign up at the link above and secure a spot. Food and drinks will be provided and there’s space in the form to share any accessibility needs.
The training will also be fully interactive and you’ll start putting the skills learned into practice that very same day. We’ve got a world to win yalll and we’ve got ways to win it. Come learn about one of the most important ways!
