An adaptation of a classical Chinese story from Water Margin, one of China’s four great classical novels. Practicing their learnt skills, the at-the-time Year 3 BA Acting students were challenged to learn and embody the Chinese Opera style to act, sing, dance and fight on stage.

My classmates and I similarly learnt how to support the production and adapt our skills to convey the inspiration and source material through different departments in creative and technical practice. As the Assistant Stage Manager I learnt from @samzy.jo how to properly apply the lessons taught to situations that popped up during the process, things like rehearsal reports and calls, schedules, scene breakdowns, and even a minor incident report. The time spent with and taking care of the Acting cohort was a wonderful experience and built relationships I continue to maintain.
