‼️ Trigger warning – some stitches shown.

Thank you @nekohealth for flagging a blemish for me. It was picked up on an AI full body scan, and they checked it again a few months later. After observing some changes, they advised I see a dermatologist to have it removed and tested.

Today I received my results and was shocked to find out it was severely dysplastic, which means it had a high chance of becoming cancerous, specifically melanoma. I don’t have skin cancer and it has been removed, but more worryingly, it had been checked many times before, I wasn’t concerned about it, and my attitude towards it was fairly relaxed. I also put off visiting the dermatologist for months.

The only change was the shape, which became patchy and irregular. So make sure you check your moles, and if you can, go for an AI body scan. It’s amazingly accurate and can track any skin changes annually.
