And one thing I want you to understand before I break this down 🤍
This is not a one formula fits all situation.
Your starting point, your hair history, your tone, and your end goal all change the formula completely.
What worked here was customized specifically for me.
A root shadow, gloss, or color melt aren’t extra steps.
They’re what take your color from basic to blended, soft, and long lasting
Yes, it can increase the price of your service
But it also:
• gives you a seamless grow out
• keeps your tone from going brassy
• makes your color last longer between appointments
That’s where the value is.
This is exactly how I create a soft, expensive brunette… and why every step matters
1. Color barrier cream
Protects the skin from staining and keeps the hairline clean and polished
Small detail, but it elevates the entire service
2. New growth formula (6/1 + 6/0 with 10/20 vol)
I’m balancing warmth and coverage here
6/0 gives natural depth and gray coverage
6/1 controls warmth so the brunette stays neutral, not brassy
10/20 volume gives controlled lift without over-processing
3. Root shadow (7T + 7N Shades EQ)
This is what makes the color look blended, not freshly done
It softens the line between root and highlight
Gives a seamless grow out
4. Gloss (9V + 9NB Shades EQ)
This is where the tone and shine come together
9V cancels unwanted warmth
9NB keeps it soft and natural, not flat or too cool
This is what gives that expensive, reflective finish.
Two different formulas because they do two different jobs.
Root shadow = blend and depth
Gloss = tone and shine
Save this for your next salon apt! 🤍
