Hi 🫶🏼😄

If you’re new here, I’m really glad you found me.

This space started with simple hair tips… and somehow turned into so much more.

A business, a team, a brand I care deeply about, and a community of women who just want to feel confident in their everyday life.

I’m in a season of building right now and it’s really exciting. New ideas, new things coming, and a bigger vision for where this is all going.

Still learning. Still growing. Still figuring things out as I go.

But truly so grateful you’re here for it❤️❤️ by @rachel.eggie

✨ The secret to a salon-level blowout at home? It’s ALL in the prep + the sections. ✨

Most women rush through their blow-dry, but if you want that lifted, voluminous look that lasts all day, here’s what really matters:

Pre-drying is everything. Don’t go in with soaking wet hair, taking out 60–70% of the moisture first gives you control AND better shape.

Work section by section. Breaking it down makes it less overwhelming AND ensures every strand gets polished.

The mohawk section is your power zone. How you direct these pieces determines whether your style falls flat…or gives you that “just left the salon” volume.

I’ll walk you through each step in this video so you can master it at home.

They walked right past me. No hug, no hi mom. Straight past me to go see their baby sister and I was chopped liver 😅

Watching them meet her for the first time wrecked me in the best way. Addison asking if she can already feed her and MJ's little touches to see if she's real. They already love her so much.

Okay, I'm genuinely so excited about this one. The hardest part of doing your own rollers is getting them in and actually keeping them there. This does that FOR you. The roller is already on the tool, the airflow wraps your hair right around it, and then it clips into place. This is genius.

That's why you don't need salon skills for a blowout like this. You hold it close, the airflow pulls the hair in, and the roller sets itself.

It takes about 20 minutes and stays under 302 degrees, so you get the volume without frying your hair.

Y’all if I’ve been quiet on here lately, this is why.

We’re soaking up every last bit of this summer before our girl gets here in August.

Between camps and work, I’m trying to protect our weekends and afternoons so we can enjoy these last couple months with the 4 of us ❤️

So if you don’t see me as much for a bit, I’m right here. Just off screen, where it matters most.

Back soon. Promise😄😘 by @rachel.eggie

Your wand never actually touches the ends. That’s why your curls look unfinished no matter what you do.
When you wrap the hair, the ends are left out. Which means no heat, no shape, just whatever direction they feel like going that day.

The fix is simple:
→ Flat iron the ends first to get everything smooth and in one direction
→ Then curl as normal
→ The ends are already polished before the wand ever touches the rest
One extra step. Completely different result.

Save this for your next curl day 🤍

Your cowlick isn’t the problem. Your products are.
Most people fight their cowlick with heavy creams and gels that just weigh it down and make it worse by noon.

The fix is lighter than you think.

Kevin Murphy Anti Gravity is what I reach for every single time:
→ Apply to cowlick (wet or dry hair) right at the root
→ Blow dry in the opposite direction of the cowlick using tensions while it’s still wet — this is the step that actually resets it
→ Finish with a cool shot to lock the direction in place
The key is working with the growth pattern, not against it. Once the hair cools in the new direction, it holds.

No crunch. No stiffness. Just a root that actually behaves.

If cowlicks have been driving you crazy, save this and try it! 🤍

And one thing I want you to understand before I break this down 🤍

This is not a one formula fits all situation.

Your starting point, your hair history, your tone, and your end goal all change the formula completely.

What worked here was customized specifically for me.

A root shadow, gloss, or color melt aren’t extra steps.

They’re what take your color from basic to blended, soft, and long lasting

Yes, it can increase the price of your service
But it also:
• gives you a seamless grow out
• keeps your tone from going brassy
• makes your color last longer between appointments

That’s where the value is.

This is exactly how I create a soft, expensive brunette… and why every step matters

1. Color barrier cream
Protects the skin from staining and keeps the hairline clean and polished
Small detail, but it elevates the entire service

2. New growth formula (6/1 + 6/0 with 10/20 vol)
I’m balancing warmth and coverage here
6/0 gives natural depth and gray coverage
6/1 controls warmth so the brunette stays neutral, not brassy
10/20 volume gives controlled lift without over-processing

3. Root shadow (7T + 7N Shades EQ)
This is what makes the color look blended, not freshly done
It softens the line between root and highlight
Gives a seamless grow out

4. Gloss (9V + 9NB Shades EQ)
This is where the tone and shine come together
9V cancels unwanted warmth
9NB keeps it soft and natural, not flat or too cool

This is what gives that expensive, reflective finish.

Two different formulas because they do two different jobs.
Root shadow = blend and depth
Gloss = tone and shine

Save this for your next salon apt! 🤍

Nobody talks about women and receding hairlines. Let’s change that.

It’s more common than you think — hormones, postpartum shedding, tension from tight styles, and just genetics can all pull the hairline back over time. And it can feel really defeating when you notice it.

This is what I reach for on the days I want my hairline to look full and defined without any effort:

→ Style Edit Root Cover along the hairline
→ Light, short strokes — don’t press hard or it looks heavy
→ Blend the edges with a small brush or your fingertip
→ Set with a light mist so it doesn’t transfer

It takes less than 60 seconds and the difference is real.

This isn’t about hiding something. It’s about feeling like yourself on the days your hair isn’t cooperating.

If this is something you’ve been quietly dealing with — you’re not alone. Drop a comment below 🤍

This is why your color may not look expensive.
It’s not always about more highlights
It’s about what you do after

A gloss is what brings everything together
For blondes
It cancels brass and makes your color look clean and bright

For brunettes
It adds depth, richness, and that reflective shine that makes it look healthy

Even a clear gloss makes a difference.

It smooths the cuticle and gives that polished finish

When I was behind the chair
95% of my clients were getting a gloss every visit
Because it’s what makes the hair actually look intentional
