The past three months have been some of the hardest days of my life. I’m trying to move forward and keep myself together, but navigating all these mixed emotions hasn’t been easy.

What actually helped me wasn’t alcohol or anything like that, it was the complete opposite. Showing up to Barry’s, even on the days I felt at my lowest, especially when I couldn’t even connect with my loved ones in Iran.

This small achievement means more than it looks. It’s a reminder to keep going.
