A new soup dumpling spot worth checking out in Lynbrook 🥟✨ @lumixsoupdumplings is serving up freshly made soup dumplings along with a huge selection of Chinese dishes and a full bar. One of the coolest parts is watching the dumplings being made right in front of you — each one is carefully folded by hand before being steamed and served hot and fresh. 🥟 We tried the Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings, Signature XLB Sampler, Fried Shrimp & Pork Dumplings, Signature Pan-Fried Bao, Shrimp Lo Mein, and Pepper Salt Shrimp. The Soup Dumplings & XLB sampler was so good & definitely one of my favorites! 😍🔥 There’s so much more than just dumplings here, making it a great spot to come hungry with friends or family and order a bunch of dishes to share. Barack Obama said he's "not surprised" by President Donald Trump's decision to ban CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, arguing that the issue should not be "partisan." "You do not have, as far as I can tell, any substantial group of Republicans who are standing up and saying, 'No, you can't do that, because we don't want, if there's a Democratic president, to be banning Fox News,' or whatever other outlets that are going off on Democratic presidents," the former president said Monday night at an event at Salem State University in Massachusetts. "You can't do that and say that you are still living in a democracy," Obama told historian Doris Kearns Goodwin during the event, describing the situation as "the president of the United States can't take some criticism." Trump announced the move to ban the organizations on social media on Friday saying it was "a result of their constant 'reporting' FAKE NEWS!" He later described it as "a very simple ban." "I don't want them in my office. I don't want them here. I would say the ban would go as far as you can," Trump said from the Oval Office. Many of you will know that animation has been one of my biggest inspirations ever since I started out in music. Brad Bird, the director behind “Ratatouille”, “The Incredibles” and “The Iron Giant” came to know this when he discovered my remake of Snow White’s “I’m Wishing” with @sagerdigital — iykyk 💅 — and it turns out he’d been a fan of my music for many years! He even had “Good Intent” on his inspo playlist for this world he was creating. Then he asked if I would write and produce the songs for the genre-bending pop star he’d created, Venus Nova, for his upcoming film “Ray Gunn”. He described the film as a sci-fi film noir where humans and aliens coexist, set in the future through the eyes of people living in the 1930’s. So : basically my dream job. We first connected about the film in 2022 and now after SO much work, love and devotion, the film finally has a release date. I instantly fell in love with Venus Nova and drew a lot from my own life and experiences when creating the songs for her to sing. The fact that Scarlett Johansson became the voice of Venus made this whole project even more epic for me. She’s an actress I’ve admired for so long and she embodied the songs in a way that took them to a whole new level. I can’t wait for you to hear these songssss Since I can’t share the music yet (you have to see the film when it comes out!) here are some stills from the movie to give you an idea of what to expect. This is truly one of the most amazing animated films I’ve ever seen (on every level) and to have my songs used throughout the film is still kinda mind-blowing to me! Brad Bird is one of my true heroes. I grew so much as a songwriter and producer from this collaboration and it means so much to me that he trusted me to help bring his vision to life. It’s an epic vision. And we had so much fun in the process. The movie is INSANE. Ray Gunn coming to Netflix December 18th. 🖤 -K
