I thought I knew a little bit about the Post Office scandal but it wasn’t until I had the privilege of getting to know Seema Misra and her family that I began to understand the full extent of the impact it has had on ordinary people. So many have suffered unbelievable trauma, victimisation and loss; and are still fighting for justice and accountability.

How on earth does a portrait acknowledge this? Should a portrait even try? Well Seema pointed the way. She is such a force. Strong, tenacious, fiercely loyal to her family and her principles, full of love, optimism and compassion. She is inspirational. These photographs show some of the joyous moments behind the scenes when Seema (and Davinder) let us into their lives and reminded us that some people are undefeatable and that love is irrepressible.

Thank you, Jack. This portrait means more than words can express. You didn’t just paint an image—you captured a moment, a journey, and a truth that so many families have lived through. We are truly grateful for the care and respect you’ve shown in telling our story. 🙏✨

Very hard to portray the pain and anguish those poor people went through for so long, but you did a good job. The tv drama they made of it was a real eye opener. 👏👏👍
