Loki Season 2 (2021) follows fix the Temporal Loom to prevent the multiverse from dying after Sylvie kills He Who Remains. Loki masters "time-slipping," destroys the Loom, and uses his magic to turn the timelines into a tree-like structure (Yggdrasil), becoming the isolated God of Time who holds the multiverse together at the End of Time.
Loki's sacrifice gives the timelines free will, moving from a selfish villain to a selfless protector.
