I would choose the Red Sea in Egypt over and over for several factors. But you need to consider a few things before you arrange the/plan your trip.
As normal, people would choose the Red Sea for these 4 factors:
1- One of the World’s Most Spectacular Underwater Worlds
2. Beautiful Beaches and Crystal-Clear Water
3. The Extraordinary Desert-Meets-Sea Landscape
4. Sunshine and Year-Round Holiday Potential

But I need you also to keep in mind the following :
1. Not Every Beach Is Suitable for Swimming
Some beaches have shallow reefs, rocky seabeds, or long jetties before you reach deep water. Always check the actual swimming conditions before booking a hotel.
2. Summer Heat Can Be Extreme
July and August can be intensely hot, especially in Hurghada and Marsa Alam. Winter is generally pleasant during the day, but winds can make swimming and evenings feel chilly.
3. Marine Life Requires Respect and Caution
Sea urchins, fire coral, strong currents, and occasional dangerous marine animals are genuine considerations. Follow local safety instructions, avoid touching coral, and never assume every snorkeling area is safe.
My travel tip: Don’t choose a Red Sea resort based only on beautiful hotel photos. The quality of its house reef, beach access, swimming conditions, and location can make a much bigger difference to your holiday than the hotel’s star rating.
