History / Legends & Pioneers : Thomas P. Heckmann

Thomas P. Heckmann has long been a successful figure in the international techno scene and has firmly established himself as a producer, DJ, and mastering engineer.
After more than 35 years in the music business, he can look back on countless releases across a wide variety of electronic music genres; he has run - and continues to run - numerous labels; and, on top of that, he owns one of the largest synthesizer collections in Germany.

Thomas P. Heckmann started as a professionell techno-house producer in summer 1991 with his first release EXIT 100 "Liquid“.
After trying out all sorts of electronic music styles - including Synth Pop, Industrial, and EBM - he was attracted by THE KLF and 808 STATE’s early stuff - wich lead him into the newly emerged house and techno scene, around Mainz, Frankfurt and the Rhein Main area, in 1989.
His project EXIT 100, on the just founded label FORCE INC. in 1991, was his start into the then small techno world.
"Liquid" was licensed on Daniel Miller's MUTE RECORDS label in England, was single of the month in the seminal MELODY MAKER magazine and reached number 20 at the UK independend charts in 1992.
Heckmann also was one of the first german producers to release harder techno and acid material in the style of UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE and +8 RECORDS with his projects AGE and SKYDIVER.
1993 he launched his own label TROPE RECORDINGS and its sub-label ACID FUCKERS UNITE ( A.F.U. ).
On TROPE RECORDINGS Heckmann released 1994 his world wide techno anthem "Amphetamine“ as DRAX LTD. II. - the track is considered a techno classic.
To this day, Heckmann produces music under countless aliases on various labels, performs live, and runs his mastering studio.

Legally Blonde actress Selma Blair has been accused of assault after she allegedly attacked attendants on a flight from Los Angeles to New York.

Two flight attendants were hurt and one was taken to hospital, the New York Port Authority said.

Blair was arrested and taken to hospital. Her publicist told the BBC she had "experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged conduct".

According to the BBC's US media partner, CBS News, Blair is also accused of kicking a police officer in the ambulance and assaulting a nurse at the hospital.

The actress has pleaded not guilty to two counts of second-degree assault, in relation to the alleged incidents in the ambulance and hospital.

💋 Only John Waters could’ve written a line from Female Trouble that matches Susan Dell so perfectly! 😂

“I’m a thief and a shitkicker, and, uh, I’d like to be famous.”

When a CEO’s wife enters the picture, you have to wonder… would the Lipstick Beauty Salon welcome her, or would Donald and Donna Dasher have something to say about it? 💄💅
