As a professional organiser, you’d think I’d have everything perfectly in place all the time… but the truth is, some days I really do and other days, life looks a lot messier.

Some days everything flows, the plans work, and I feel on top of it all. Other days, I’m juggling so many situations that something has to give…. and sometimes I don’t even have the energy to try and hold it all together.

As a wife, parent and grandparent and dog mum! There are days I feel like I’m truly showing up in the way I want to… and others where it feels like I’m falling short on every front. Life throws curved balls at us, just recently we’ve had a few chucked right in our faces….. so I’ve been taking extra time out for us to just be together.

Someone said to me recently that it looks like I’ve got everything “perfectly organised” on Instagram. My honest reaction? Not even close. I’d never want anyone to see that and feel like they need to live up to it.

Yes, I care deeply about what I do and I always give my best to make my business the best it can be, but real life doesn’t fit neatly into labelled boxes every single day. You can’t plan for everything, you can only do the best you can and when you can. I’ve tried so hard to do and be the best, it’s something I’ve always done because life is easier with routine for sure…. But but but… Even as an organiser, I don’t have all my ducks in a row all the time (ffs especially my wardrobe 🤷‍♀️) and that’s okay.

So please, don’t compare your reality to what you see online. It’s never the full story.

In this video you see a couple walking in the sunshine. And everything looks so lovely and on the surface it really is wonderful - but underneath this is the first walk we took after David’s 2nd heart procedure…. And I am beyond grateful he is making a good recovery, but I am watching him like a hawk… emotionally I’m secretly trying to hold it together…

Whatever kind of day you’re having, perfectly planned or beautifully chaotic 🙌I hope it’s a good one🫶🙋‍♀️🫶
