We were definitely a “practice winner” at Grand Lake this past week. After being in a slump this year, I finally felt like I put the right pieces together and made the right decisions. I just wasn’t able to execute this week. With this tough group of anglers, that is one thing you have to do. I shared the same water as the majority of the top 10, we just couldn’t put them in the boat. Every time something seems to go right this year, we bomb a tournament. It’s been an unexpected rough go. We’re at rock bottom and it’s gonna be hard to dig ourselves outta this hole to make the EQs. It’s been a while since I’ve bombed two big tournaments in a row like this. Can’t wait to get back on the road to Kentucky Lake and get back on some TVA water! Got lots of ground to make up! Only way to go is ⬆️. KY here we come. Nothing beats the TVA in May!
