Word for word…. Yet like she says, I too would need a dictionary and I don’t even know that that would even be enough to describe the feelings and emotions of the pain of such a significant loss. Because in a way, they’re really are no words…. Heartbreak of my life…

Rhapsody | E11 7a R | 8c+ trad ✅ I've dreamed of this, but I never thought I am capable of doing it. Rhapsody is one of the most famous trad route in the world, probably because already 20 years passed since @climbermacleod made the first accent. The first E11 in the world and it held quite long its position for the hardest trad climb in the world until Jacopo send Tribe and set a new benchmark in trad climbing. Thanks to @laraneumeier we headed out to Scotland in April, we had a great time working on the route and doing some scary-amazing whippers. After 10 says we left with no send, and to be honest sending Rhapsody felt way out of my reach, I knew I had to get stronger. After my paragliding incident in Kyrgyzstan end of July my Plans for the summer changed quite a bit so I’ve found myself instead of crossing Kyrgyzstan with the paraglider - heading to Dumbarton Rock with Lara this end of September. On the first day we had the best conditions ever, I felt incredible strong, as I started to link more and more of the moves I’ve felt this extreme weakness on the second rest, just before the last really hard boulder, the longer I rested the more I got pumped, after figuring out a less tiring resting position I fell too many times at the travers which is a cross-move to the right. On Tuesday last week, I sticked the travers, I fell at the last hold, one move away from the top…yes, the whipper was insane, probably a 20-25m fall. Since then I knew “I can do it”. These were also the words I told myself multiple times while resting before heading into the first boulder the day after. I knew, the only thing I need to do is climb, all the work I’ve put in, all the pain and suffer, all the bad weather and also the Thai Massage ^^ has to pay off somehow. I’m pretty sure it’s my limit what I’m capable of climbing at the moment, that’s why it feels even more rewarding to mantel out probably 8 meters above the last placement. One of the strongest emotional moments I’ve felt in years of climbing.
