FIFTEEN years of watching this girl quietly become one of the strongest people I know. Quiet, patient, steady, and strong in all the ways that matter. Gentle and caring off the court, fierce and fearless on it. Happy 15th birthday, Maddie. Watching you become who you are is one of my greatest joys.
