I think there is a difference between rehearsing honesty and rehearsing a line. You might need a minute to figure out the best way to be honest because you are concerned for the person's feelings or how something will come across. That to me is fine. If you are rehearsing for other reasons and it is starting to become something other than honesty...that's an issue. Always best to take the time to make sure what you want to say will come across the way you want it to.
