Before I left Lucia, I used to give all my people that lived outside of the Caribbean a real hard time whenever I'd hear them drop their accent entirely for the sake of communicating. As time progressed, while I don't fully adhere to switching completely, I have a bit more understanding as to why that might be cuz it gets annoying repeating yourself 4 times and you know you're speaking proper English.

With that being said, it's now that much more satisfying hearing my people when I'm out and about cuz that familiarity is something you can't replace. There's so many of us sprinkled everywhere so it's always a nice surprise when it hits you at random and you get a little reminder that all of us are just in our little corner of the world figuring it out.

There's a much deeper dive I might do later cuz the emotional point was only one example but I just wanted to open the floor.

I also don't inherently think one favors the other cuz we're all products of our environment but given the reality of the circumstances, it just had me thinking.

Funny how cleaning gives you something to do when your mind’s too loud. “Honesty” out now.

Dropping a relationship record the day after Drake dropped 3 projects feels like a setup… but honesty waits for nobody 🥲❤️‍🩹
