17 years later, and it’s still hard to put into words what this sport has given me. Softball brought me to Hardin-Simmons, where I found some of my very best friends, became part of the first HSU nursing cohort, and met my amazing boyfriend. Beyond the game itself, I’m forever grateful for every teammate who became family, every coach who helped shape me, every lesson learned, and every road trip and memory along the way. This sport gave me so much more than I ever could’ve imagined, and I’ll always be thankful for the relationships and experiences that came with it.
