Há gestos que não precisam de voz. Na tradição oriental, o leque não servia para sombra ou brisa, era alfabeto. Entre o dito e o não dito. Um objecto que ocupava o espaço onde o significado respirava. Os objectos podem ser linguagem. É deste conceito - de inspiração profundamente oriental e nas raízes de uma identidade construída entre dois mundos - que desenvolvi uma das peças que vou apresentar na Lisbon Design Week com o coletivo Sotaque, curadoria de Guto Requenha, na Moldo Studio. There are gestures that need no voice. In the Eastern tradition, the 🪭 was never just shade or breeze, it was alphabet. Between the said and the unsaid. An object that occupied the space where meaning breathed. Objects can be language. It is from this concept - deeply rooted in Eastern inspiration and in the origins of an identity built between two worlds - that I developed one of the pieces I will be presenting at @lisbondesignweek with the collective @so_ta_que curated by @gutorequena at @moldostudios.
