Over the past four editions, Lisbon Design Week has grown from an ambitious idea into an internationally recognised platform celebrating Portuguese design, craftsmanship and contemporary creativity.

In 2027, we celebrate our 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆, an important milestone and the beginning of a new chapter for LDW.

For this special edition, we are preparing an ambitious programme of exhibitions, commissions, encounters and collaborations across Lisbon, bringing together the creative community that has shaped LDW while welcoming new voices, opening fresh conversations, fostering connections between Portuguese and international designers and bringing different perspectives for the future. An opportunity to think bigger!

𝗦𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗼 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝘀.

A collective born from the desire for connection among Portuguese designers whose roots trace back to the former colonies. Design that carries weight beyond the utilitarian, questioning how identity, memory and origin shape the objects we make.

Collective's members include Macheia, Lia Raquel Marques, Adonis Evangelista, Bernardo Barros, Mariana Rola Pereira, Eneida Lombe Tavares, Thayra Correia, Le Brimet, Kelvin Silva and Miguel Saboya.

The exhibition is open 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗞, 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗗 I A few moments from Lisbon Design Week 2026.

Every edition brings new voices, new spaces and new ways of exploring design, architecture and craftsmanship.

As we prepare for LDW27, our fifth anniversary edition, we’re looking forward to discovering fresh ideas and welcoming new projects and spaces into the programme.

𝗨𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀: From private homes and chapels to old pharmacies and closed shops brought back to life as pop-ups, LDW26 opened the doors to some of Lisbon’s most unexpected venues, with some spaces welcoming the public exclusively during Design Week.

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀. 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀. 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆, 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀.

𝗟𝗗𝗪 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 — 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝟯 is here, where Portugal’s Young Design Generation and emerging talent meets professionals from the industry.

This time, we’re taking LDW After Hours beyond Lisbon. For Volume 3, we’re heading north with three events across Porto and 5 in Lisbon, bringing together young designers, artists and creatives to share ideas, experiences and the realities of creative practice.

LDW After Hours connects emerging and established creatives in an open and honest environment. A space to talk about what isn’t taught, how studios are built, how creative careers take shape, and how we navigate uncertainty along the way.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘁 @hamrei’s. An evening of conversations, music, food, and good company, surrounded by Hamrei’s work and the atmosphere of his studio.

After Hours has always been about creating a space for honest conversations, new connections and the exchange of ideas. Bringing together people who are building, questioning, experimenting and shaping Lisbon’s creative community of emerging talent.

For our final gathering of the last season, we came together at @dam.lisbon, @hamrei’s studio, just before the opening of LDW26. A nice way to close a season filled with inspiring people, thoughtful conversations, and plenty of good energy.

A big thank you to @dam.lisbon and @hamrei for hosting us and opening the studio to the After Hours community.

Thank you to @iagomeloo for the tunes and good vibes throughout the evening, to @vadims.lab and @iscopadaria for the beautiful food set-up and delicious pastries that run out way too fast, @homelabdrinks and @drink_ummi for the refreshment and @be_______creative for capturing all the memories.

There is something very sensitive about this piece that stayed with me from the moment I saw it at ROCA.

Teresa Nunes works with textiles, memory and reuse, and here she takes something almost impossible to capture, water and translates it through fabric, colour and touch.

I love the subtle variations created by botanical dyes, the hand embroidery and the use of existing textiles. And then there is the beautiful dialogue with Ricardo Leal’s wooden structure.

It is quiet, tactile and very human. It is multifunctional and can easily be used in a room as a divider or simply as a decorative piece. And it is green (my friends will understand….)
