Moondata - Let The Moonshine In (Remixes)
The little-known sole single from Moondata, 1984’s jazz-funk/boogie fusion gem ‘Let The Moonshine In’, is a very important record to the Rotation Sound System crew. It has become a familiar favourite at their annual Garden Party festival and formed the centrepiece of their first compilation, last years superb Everything You’re About To Hear Is True Volume 1.
After we tracked down the original artist we discovered he was still in possession of the ultra-rare original studio multitrack tapes so the Rotation crew set about creating their own versions and remixes as Chicken Lips, Mind Fair, T Kutt and Wrekin Havoc.
The vinyl is released next Friday 29th but if you’re near east London then there will be a limited supply of advance copies available at the launch party this Sunday at @fillybrook in Leytonstone, E11
