It’s Steve & Oliver’s 47th Anniversary from the day they met at The Throckmorton Mining  Company that weeknight in 1979 - a time when we were all afraid to walk across Cedar Springs Street to dance the night  away at Magnolia Thunderpussy’s before it became the Roundup about a year later. How blessed we have been to have moved to Downtown Dallas in March 2005 buying at this magical place called 1505 Elm that was the first condo community in the CBD. Long long-time friend of now 45 years Bill McKnight the B closed on his unit on the 10th floor with S & O closing on their unit on the 15th floor 2 weeks later. We had no idea how this move 21+ years ago would change our lives as we landed in a world that we have watched become the most diverse, accepting community we had ever imagined. Growing from 1,000 residents to now over 16,000 we look forward to the future. That summer of 2005 we were nicknamed the SOBs having no idea where it would take us. And then along came iPhones and social media and this growing community had a way to connect and become a voice for diversity. Thanks you to DDI and the Pride Committee for allowing us to be a part of this beautiful event especially the indomitable Betty Neal @mz.ster_bettyneal and Juan Galvan with DDI @conkistadorable. How our world has changed…despite setbacks from time to time like the political climate full of hate we are seeing now, but just like the Disco Queen Gloria Gaynor said in 1979 WE SHALL SURVIVE! We are just 3 old hippies who don’t judge, love everyone and see a day when our country will again live with ☮️&❤️to All‼️See you at this first ever Sunset Parade in Downtown Dallas and hope we have made a difference…Steve Oliver & Bill
