What an unforgettable ride these couple of weeks have been—Japan, Croatia, Open Streets, countless events/activations, thousands of visitors, and probably a few million steps too. 😅

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible Downtown Dallas, Inc. Field Operations Team and our amazing Seasonal Ambassadors. You welcomed the world with smiles, kept Downtown looking incredible, and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make it all happen.

Thank you as well to the City of Dallas (OSE), Dallas Police Department, our partners, vendors, merchants, and everyone who helped showcase the very best of Downtown Dallas. This was truly a team effort.

We may be exhausted… but we’d do it all over again.

Until next time, FIFA. 👋⚽

Another fun event in the books! 💙🇯🇵⚽

We’re officially halfway through FIFA in Downtown Dallas, and today was another reminder of what makes our city so special.

Our Japan Fan Pep Rally – Paint It Blue! brought a couple thousand people through Harwood Park for an afternoon filled with live music, free giveaways, great energy, and lots of smiles. It’s been incredible watching our public parks come alive with fans from around the world celebrating together.

Events like these don’t happen without amazing partnerships. A huge thank you to The City of Dallas, Office of Special Events, Dallas Police Department, and the entire Downtown Dallas, Inc. team for working together to make this such a safe, fun, and seamless experience for everyone.

Months of planning, countless phone calls, site visits, and collaboration all lead to moments like today… and seeing our parks full of people enjoying Downtown Dallas makes it all worth it.

On to the next one! ⚽💙🇯🇵 #FIFA #DowntownDallas #PaintItBlue #Teamwork #Partnership

Months of planning. Weeks of phone calls. Hours of site visits. Today, we finally made it happen! 🇭🇷

We were proud to help Croatia kick off their celebration with a parade and festival across two of our public parks in Downtown Dallas.

A huge thank you to the City of Dallas, the Office of Special Events, Dallas Police Department, and all of our partners who helped bring this event to life. These celebrations don’t happen without incredible collaboration and teamwork behind the scenes.

We’re honored to help welcome the world to Downtown Dallas and showcase the vibrant cultures that make our city so special. Join us next week for “Paint it Blue” a Japan Fan Festival at Harwood Park, June 24 at 4pm!

Steveoliverbilldowntownsobs Steve Shepherd Oliver Roberts & Bill McKnight are honored to be leading the Dallas Pride Sunset Parade in the beloved SOB Mobile on Main this year in Downtown Dallas. See you on June 6th and trust we will see you there‼️
It’s Steve & Oliver’s 47th Anniversary from the day they met at The Throckmorton Mining Company that weeknight in 1979 - a time when we were all afraid to walk across Cedar Springs Street to dance the night away at Magnolia Thunderpussy’s before it became the Roundup about a year later. How blessed we have been to have moved to Downtown Dallas in March 2005 buying at this magical place called 1505 Elm that was the first condo community in the CBD. Long long-time friend of now 45 years Bill McKnight the B closed on his unit on the 10th floor with S & O closing on their unit on the 15th floor 2 weeks later. We had no idea how this move 21+ years ago would change our lives as we landed in a world that we have watched become the most diverse, accepting community we had ever imagined. Growing from 1,000 residents to now over 16,000 we look forward to the future. That summer of 2005 we were nicknamed the SOBs having no idea where it would take us. And then along came iPhones and social media and this growing community had a way to connect and become a voice for diversity. Thanks you to DDI and the Pride Committee for allowing us to be a part of this beautiful event especially the indomitable Betty Neal @mz.ster_bettyneal and Juan Galvan with DDI @conkistadorable. How our world has changed…despite setbacks from time to time like the political climate full of hate we are seeing now, but just like the Disco Queen Gloria Gaynor said in 1979 WE SHALL SURVIVE! We are just 3 old hippies who don’t judge, love everyone and see a day when our country will again live with ☮️&❤️to All‼️See you at this first ever Sunset Parade in Downtown Dallas and hope we have made a difference…Steve Oliver & Bill by @conkistadorable

WOW! Tonight was amazing!

Over 1,000 individuals gathered tonight in Downtown Dallas, at Main Street Garden Lawn, for our free outdoor movie series. We are deeply grateful to our fantastic supporters from across DFW, who made this event truly unforgettable. Our appreciation also goes to @vipmarketx and @winterssnowtruck , our incredible vendors who nourished attendees with delightful treats.

Additionally, we commend our exceptional DDI security and clean team for ensuring the park remained safe and clean for our guests. And I cannot thank enough and say thanks to our phenomenal DDI Ambassador team for their outstanding work. We could not do this without this small but mighty team!

Mark your calendars for our next screening of Napoleon Dynamite, same time and place, next Friday. Plus a special treat for all bike riders, ride your bike to the movie, and we’ll have a FREE bike valet for you at the park, thanks to our friends at BikeDFW!!
