I've been going to AZ for about 3 years, and its my favorite convention ever! The only thing I would like to ask is that can there be a normal karaoke alternating with the Anime/J-Pop karaoke event?

Hihi, I'm the Lace cosplay in the picture and I was staffing the games room. Con was great this year. Our biggest issue was the loading dock. Loading in one of the con center guys was VERY rude and refused to let us use the docks. Load out was so busy we were told it was a 2 hour wait. We ended up just doing things via the front door which is a pain with 20 PCs with all the bells and whistles.

Loved every second and this has always been my fave con ever! But I definitely agree with the masq, it was extremely extremely loud 🫠

Love AZ so much but I’m seconding what @axoneen said about the masquerade sound mixing. In the third row it was so loud it was physically painful and when the masq was over I felt like I was underwater. Absolutely unsafe without ear protection, but what are you supposed to do when you’re there to support your friends? I heard from multiple separate groups that members of their party had to leave within the first few performances. Adding earplugs to my con floor bag because of this! 🥲

i love animazement and have been attending for a decade now, have loved every second of it but yesterday the masquerade was so loud i felt like it would damage my ears so i left with my partner after the first song. i would have loved to stay to support everyone but it was SO loud!! i dont like complaining about my favorite con but it felt unsafe to me..
