a day in my life with 4 kids + trying to take care of myself somewhere in between one thing i’ve realized about wellness as a mom is that it has to actually FIT into my life. i don’t have an hour every morning to meal prep, work out, meditate, etc😅 that’s why i’ve been loving seeing a dietitian through @usenourish it gives me a little more structure and accountability without making me feel like i have to completely rearrange our life to prioritize my health. because taking care of myself doesn’t have to mean putting motherhood on pause. sometimes it just looks like making the better choice in the middle of the chaos, staying consistent with the little things, and remembering that i’m worth taking care of too 🤍 @usenourish #nourishpartner

Happy birthday to my beautiful mom, Mieke. ❤️ I thought I’d share one of my favourite stories about her today, because alongside her extraordinary strength and wisdom, she had the most wonderful sense of humour! 😂 My mother taught me so much about life, but perhaps the greatest lesson was that even in our most difficult moments, we can find purpose by opening our hearts and helping someone else. It’s a philosophy she lived by, and one that continues to guide me every day. What began with my mother’s simple belief in the power of helping others has grown into the @openheartsfoundation, carrying her message of love, compassion and kindness to people she never had the chance to meet. I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about her legacy. ❤️ I miss you mom, and I hope you know just how many lives you’ve touched. Your love continues to make a difference in this world, and I couldn’t be prouder to be your daughter.
