Doe Deere

That one time I found a young hummingbird grounded by the pool. He was just sitting there, looking sad, hungry and exhausted. I scooped him up and brought him into the kitchen, where I fed him sugar water off the tip of a painting brush… until his energy restored & he was ready to fly off. The second slide is me setting him free! I must admit, this tiny guy left a disproportionately large impact on my heart; I still think about him all the time. ♥️ #animallover #hummingbird #wildliferescue
