“It doesn’t make you less of a cinephile if you can’t get to an IMAX screen (especially one that can show 70mm IMAX),” argues writer Helen Murphy.

“There is a difference, but it isn’t enough to stop you from enjoying the film.”

I don’t need to see any movie at all. I just do it because I enjoy it. same about watching it on IMAX.

“We’re on the side of billionaire theatre owners who are butthurt you are all going to smaller, privately owned theatres to see films in an objectively better format; therefore, we must implore you to come back to the overpriced, inferior theatres so our benefactors don’t beat us” or whatever this article said.

These are the words of a person whose local theater doesn’t show movies out of focus, on bad projectors, and worse sound systems. At least an IMAX theater has a standard.

If you don't care what screen you watch a movie on, then IMAX isn't for you

Read the subtext: the author is saying it doesn’t matter how you see the movie, just go out to the movies. I happen to agree that seeing a movie at the cinema is way better than at home
