It's almost been two weeks since @geekworld_de wrapped up, and while I had a lot of fun, I also learned a lot about trooping, cosplaying and about my own kit.

But most of all, I am extremely greatful to have been there with my friends @mandalorianroughnecks . I got so many helpful tips for my kit, and everyone involved turned the weekend into a great time.

My next big con is still a good bit away, but this gives me enough time to make some necessary adjustments. See you all in September for the Sci-Fi Treffen in Speyer.

This is the way, have fun and work on the improvements after test run! I am in that current situation, jet pack missing a few little things and position was wrong, my ab plate kept popping out and my flack vest is too big for me 🤣, hair sticking out under helmet and repositioned shoulder armour meant asking friend to push them back on through out the day. noone noticed i had fun and now I upgrade and fix ready for the next lot of fun

I was 14 when I began hearing that my body made me attention-seeking, that I should cover up, that what I wore said something about me. I wrote in BIMBO about how victim-blaming teaches us to feel responsible for the way other people treat us. So when women are called whores for wearing gym shorts, it isn’t just a joke floating around on its own. It feeds the same old idea that our clothes are an invitation, that cleavage or a short skirt means we’re responsible for attracting the “wrong” sort of attention, and that what we wear says something about our morals or sexuality. It doesn’t. Even if a woman is expressing her sexuality freely, that still doesn’t make her a “whore”. And this isn’t happening in a vacuum. The Femicide Census found that, over a ten-year period, a woman was killed by a man in the UK on average every three days. The ONS estimates that 25.6% of women in England and Wales have experienced sexual assault, including attempts, since the age of 16. “Woah, it’s just a joke, relax. They’re just words.” But how many men use sexism as cover to chat us up, catcall us, follow us home or intimidate us? Do you want your daughter to be spoken about like that? Do you honestly think a certain outfit makes someone deserve to be objectified? We’re told not to attract unwanted attention, as if it’s our fault, then told to cover up, while newspapers churn out headlines about how men don’t like barrel jeans and politicians try to ban the hijab. Please stop trying to control our clothes and our bodies. Women like me, with big boobs, know how quickly people decide we must be showing them off for attention, when we’re literally just trying to exercise. And look at what we wear to Pilates, if men weren’t there I can assure you we’d wear even less. We don’t exist for men. So when a show like SNL gives this stuff a platform, it helps normalise attitudes women already have to navigate every day. But for goodness sake, lighten up:
