1999 Set (7128) alternative build, and my first time actually trying to recreate one of these old back-of-the-box builds myself.
Just the box alone is worth looking at. The set itself is simple but thats what makes it so good. The Scout Troopers have so much charisma, the helmet mold, the visor face print, it all just works.

Nowadays , somehow, this little set can be considered a collector’s piece. Maybe because it’s older than me. Or just because the box is worth admiring.

I miss how LEGO used to encourage us to go further than just complete the instructions. The box gave us another possibility and a reason to take it apart and build something different.

Huge thanks to @lsbricksarchive for inspiring me to try one of these alternative builds. Definitely need to do more of them.

What’s the best LEGO Star Wars alternative build out there?
