Our first time competing @nabjjf and it was definitely an experience. Went up against some tough competitors this time around and even had to go brother vs. brother in no gi for bronze. Both showed heart and had their brotherly love tested. Aaron eventually won but Zachary felt defeated.

Despite all that, Zachary put aside his frustration and anger and pressed on to win silver in gi and cheered for Aaron in his final gi match in OT to win bronze.

This was the fight for bronze. Aaron was gassed and the match went into OT (first point wins). Aaron dug deep, gave everything he got, and secured the takedown to win the match. All the while, Zachary and @coachcruz_jiujitsu were coaching and cheering him on through the end.

It’s not about ourselves—it’s about lifting each other up, pushing one another toward our goals, and cheering each other on every step of the way.

Aaron -🥉(gi & no gi)
Zachary -🥈(gi)

Aaron said…The cradle move was from @tmwcyouth and the strength for the takedown was from @thejumplab
