4:10AM - @king_iz: “It’s going to be a wild one”.

@unboundgravel 2026 was indeed a wild one.

There was pouring rain, mud, a lot of wind, and even heat at the end.

I held myself back, didn’t let myself get carried away, and rode steadily at my own pace. I kept good focus on the technical sections, got off the bike where others were faceplanting and took in fewer carbs per hour.

Satisfied with my day and number 4 in the books.

I will be back for a 5th one. 🫡
