A little weaving study...

I've been obsessed with weaving recently. This is a study for a larger hanging weaving. The warp and weft are hand spun Kozo paper yarn which I make by cutting handmade Kozo paper into strips and then rolling it into yarn. I've couched little paper square additions onto the surface of the weaving as well.

There’s something really exciting to me about collapsing the space between paper making and weaving and I love the surface quality of the paper yarn and having something 2 dimensional become tactile and sculptural 🌱
