COLORADO SPARTAN BEAST RACE ⚔️

I almost didn’t run this race. Fresh off quitting my job, barely trained, and it backed right up against our family reunion. The excuses for skipping it were honestly airtight.

Then @remraf_road texted me three weeks out to say he’d miss doing it without me for the first time. And that was that. I knew I had to fly out and do it. I just needed Beth’s support, and of course she was instantly in my corner.

Fast forward those three weeks and the nerves showed up right on schedule. What if I didn’t train enough? What if I cramp and can’t finish? What if I get injured?

A lot of what ifs stop us from doing things in this life. Don’t let them.

Because here are the other what ifs: What if you start the business and it actually takes off? What if you sign up for the race and have the time of your life? What if you take the risk and it pays off big? What if you just do the thing and win at this whole life game because you threw your name in the hat?

Justin and I yo-yo’d the entire race, trading the lead and pushing each other to our limits. The race was brutal. It kicked us while we were down and laughed in our faces. We conquered it anyway and crossed the finish line together.

Thanks, Justin, for always inviting me to do hard things and push my limits. I’m better for it.
