HELLBOY I 👺
Watercolor on Rosaespina paper
2026

Since last year, when I picked up reading my favorite comics again, I started some sketches for a Hellboy miniseries, wondering what would happen if he were investigating in Mexico and was bewitched by one of my favorite Mexica gods: Mictlantecuhtli 💀✨

I’m very happy with the result because I feel that during all this time that I couldn’t paint them, with the help of my friends, I was learning new techniques and tricks for colors, composition, and painting that helped me solve it much better than a year ago.🏃🏾‍♂️

Here are some photos I took during the process.

Thank you so much for checking it out. Let me know what you think or what other character you’d like me to experiment with. 👀🔥

The original painting is available for purchase, or let me know if you’d like to see it in some prints! 🖼️✨
