“My father would say, ‘Every inch of space, from one corner of the frame to the other—why is that a corner? Why is life not happening outside of it? Why are you not zooming beyond it? Because you are making a choice about that intensity.’” — Avani Rai

The @pirelli Calendar 2027 has left an indelible imprint on my heart and soul.

The circumstances in which the calendar evolved from a first-time collaboration between two photographers into a body of work by three artists are an example of the limitless layering that enriches our lives, both while we are physically here and as we pass into other dimensions.

It is this layered beauty of India that Raghu Rai (through his work), Avani Rai, Sølve Sundsbø, and many of the beautiful women they photographed mention when describing the culture and energy of its people.

It is an honor to join the Pirelli family in India for The Cal 2027 reveal.

I am leaving a country I have visited for the first time with immense curiosity and a burning desire to return and peel back the layers illustrated so divinely in the calendar, one colorful layer at a time.

Thank you for this remarkable experience.
