I am incredibly blessed and grateful to be the Boys Varsity Volleyball Head Coach at Salesian High School. In just 10 weeks, I had the opportunity to teach, mentor, and help develop players who, for the most part, had never played volleyball before.
I thank God for giving me the privilege not only to help shape these young men’s volleyball skills, but more importantly, to help shape their character, values, and leadership. It is truly rewarding to give back through a sport that has given me so much throughout my life.
Yesterday was the Salesian Awards Banquet. While I value every single player and the contributions each one made to our season, individual awards are reserved for only a few. Congratulations to my outstanding setter, Max (MVP) and to my DS/Libero, Quincy (Coaches Award). Your leadership, relentless commitment, work ethic, and sense of teamwork throughout the season set the standard for others to follow. You both truly deserve this honor.
I was also deeply honored to be recognized as the first woman hired as a coach in Salesian High School’s history. To be part of such a longstanding tradition and contribute to the growth of this program is truly humbling. I am grateful for the trust, support, and opportunity that the school has given me.
I am proud of all of our players and thankful for the journey we shared this season. I already can’t wait to get back in the gym and start building toward next season. The future is bright, and I look forward to continuing this journey with these outstanding young men.
Thank you, Salesian, for an unforgettable first season. 🏐💙 🦅
