For the last several months I’ve been secretly building and testing a piece of obsolete technology known as Dream Machines.

Dream Machines collect signals from futures attempting to arrive and helps them come to life.

On Thursday, June 18th, the project will be hosted on the @walkerartcenter hillside from 5–9 PM.

Come contribute a dream for the future to a growing public archive. Dreams can be practical, personal, collective, impossible, or something you’ve never said aloud before.

At a moment when so much feels uncertain, Dream Machines is a small invitation to imagine what might come next and to speak it aloud. Sometimes futures begin that way.

I’m lucky to be joined by @yesterato_wolfe, @annadoooodle, @_patkeen_ & @drdiamonddavepower for a special improvised music performance and @watheca.records for a vinyl set, all inspired by dreams, futurism, and collective imagination.

Dream Machines has been shaped through the generosity, labor, and imagination of many people. Special thanks to one and only @dog_bowl_repairman, @studio.uus @stevenbleau, and everyone who has helped bring this strange machine into the world.
