The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer keys, question papers, and recorded responses for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026, enabling candidates to review their responses and challenge the provisional answer key if required.
According to a public notice issued by the NTA, the CUET (UG) 2026 examination was conducted from May 11 to May 31 and again on June 6 and 7 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode at multiple centres across India and abroad. A total of 15,68,867 registered candidates appeared for the examination.
The agency stated that the provisional answer keys, along with question papers and recorded responses, have been made available on the official CUET website for candidates who appeared in the examination during the specified dates.
Candidates who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key may challenge it by paying a non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question challenged. The answer key challenge window will remain open from June 9 to June 11, 2026, until 10:00 PM, while the fee payment can be completed up to 11:50 PM on June 11, 2026.
The NTA has clarified that challenges submitted without payment of the prescribed fee will not be considered. Payments can be made through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
As per the notice, all objections received from candidates will be reviewed by a panel of subject experts. If a challenge is found to be valid, the answer key will be revised and the correction will be applied to all candidates accordingly. The final result will be prepared and declared based on the revised final answer key.
The agency further noted that candidates will not be informed individually about the acceptance or rejection of their challenges. The decision taken by the subject experts after reviewing the objections will be final.
Candidates have been advised to regularly visit the official CUET website for updates regarding the answer key challenge process and result declaration.
