Formerly known as Czechoslovakia until the end of the Cold War. It then broke into two separate republics. The Czech Republic and Slovakia. Then it became Czechia. It’s not complicated.

Ok I'm irish and in school we learne stone age vikings, i did irish history and European history. We were not taught American history, or Canada Aisa ect . Im sure in others countries its the same . Saying that it's probably changed since I was in school. But when I go to other countries I do look things up about that countrie. My sons grew up following football and if they liked a player they looked up everything , like were they are from what that countrie / region is famous for, the food , drink, culture, religion , history the flag of the countrie and flag of the country / region. When my youngest was about 6 years we were at an event and in the hall hanging up was every countries flag he knew every one apart from two. Before they travel they look up everything about were they are going. They didn't learn any of that in school. And it taught me so much.

Why not Google it rather than ask here and expose yourself as ignorant to the world? Not knowing is not a flex.

It’s the divided part of checkoslovakia that you are talking about. The country split into two countries
