Nos pés. 🌸 No vídeo de hoje, aprendi com @asarahnery esse ritual com uma camada espiritual que vai te surpreender. Os seus pés são o que abre os caminhos da sua vida. São eles que te levam para onde você vai, que te tiram de onde você não deve estar, que decidem todos os dias o rumo que a sua história vai tomar. Quando você perfuma os seus pés com intenção, está dizendo para Deus: os meus passos são consagrados. Meu caminho é sagrado. Enquanto passa o perfume, ora comigo: Senhor, assim como o perfume foi derramado aos seus pés em sinal de amor e adoração, eu consagro meus caminhos a ti. Guia os meus passos. Abre as portas que vêm de ti. Fecha as que não são para mim. Faz durante uma semana e volta aqui para me contar o que aconteceu. 🙏✨
I recently returned to Cambodia, where we’ve been building the @maddoxfoundation — a 100% locally led organization — since 2003. I’d like to share a little more about our story. The @maddoxfoundation started with an urgent mission: to clear the land of mines left over from years of conflict, enabling locals to live and farm on it again. Once the land was safe, the work took on new shape. Now, our rangers — recruited and trained locally — patrol the Samlaut forest against logging and poaching. Women support their families through sustainable beekeeping programs. Students from remote villages can stay at the Samlaut dormitory to finish high school. Our health center cares for mothers and young children.  All of this is led by the people who live in the community. Please consider following the work on @maddoxfoundation.
The dates are rarer now, but somehow, so much more special. We clean up well… when someone else is holding the babies. 😄 No filters. Just my people. One trophy. Millions of dreams. FIFA Final. When devotion fills the streets.
One year ago, conflict broke out along Cambodia’s border, upending the safety and stability of so many. Now, nearly 30,000 people remain internally displaced and unable to return home. Cambodia has always been a special country for me and my family. This is my son’s country of birth, our home is here, and for over 20 years, we’ve worked with a fully locally-led team on conservation and community development. The Maddox Foundation is headquartered on the same border where the recent conflict took place. I have had the honor of becoming close friends with my neighbors and the Foundation team as we demined and developed the area together. When the fighting broke out last year, we had to evacuate our staff and their families — a painful reminder of just how quickly conflict can return. I love this country and its resilient, warm people.
