We could not go to LA without a trip to the Griffith Observatory. You may recognize it from such films as “Rebel Without a Cause” and “La La Land.” As someone with a passion for backyard astronomy, this place is an essential stop. We went while Seth’s cousin Victor was working there as a guide and got some insider background on the exhibits. I also got to hold an 8 lb meteorite! I especially enjoyed a visit to the Oschin Planetarium (a scale model of this planetarium was used to film my favorite scene in my favorite movie.)
