Just to clarify:

2026 is on track to be one of the hottest years in recorded history, making it one of the 3 hottest years on the planet in the last 125,000, creating change so rapid that hundreds of species are going extinct every day, leading to biodiversity and ecological collapse that threatens the ability of all lives on this planet to literally live…

The Atlantic Meridian Oceanic Current is showing serious signs of collapse which will disrupt weather patterns in Europe and North America creating infrastructure problems, food shortages, and threatening the lives of millions…

There’s an El NiƱo building in the pacific so large they had to change the scales on which they measure these events, which has the potential to disrupt global weather patterns and lead to crop failures worldwide, threatening even more millions of people…

All while fires rage from the Midwest to Westcoast, destroying communities and blanketing cities in thick smoke that threatens human health, as a result of clearcut forestry practices that have been shown for decades to increase flooding, drought and wildfires combined with changing weather patterns that leave these forest more vulnerable…

Oh - and now extreme flooding, just as I post this video!

All of this is happening…yet there are still people who believe climate change isn’t real?

Or that the oil and gas industry isn’t responsible, even after they've openly admitted to knowing about climate change and its impact since the 70s and actively partook and all sorts of disinformation campaigns in order to boost their profits...?

And at the same time, leaders of countries like Canada and the US roll back environmental protections, push through new oil pipelines, and continue investing in fossil fuel infrastructure, despite knowing that burning of fossil fuels is the root cause of all these problems, all for the sake of short term economics that keep the rich rich, while putting our communities, our children and our futures at risk…?

Crazy.
Maybe we should do something about that.

Well ... on point, they know it's already too late and because ai and robots will soon be able to do any work faster and more effective then we ever could, we will not be needed any more! Build a bunker and learn to grow your own food there, learn to fight, build a huge water storage under ground, build a water filter system for rainwater (you can't drink rainwater anymore and boiling doesn't help🤯), get solarpower and other means of creating electricity and a huge battery! you have a max. of 10 years - your time starts now, good luck

What can I do to help? I’m sure it can’t be much, but I feel helpless recently, mostly due to having no power to make change. What could I do to help be part of the change?

So HOW CAN WE change. It's the government and businesses. That don't care what can we do. šŸ’–

If seems quite clear that fundamental change in the economic and governmental systems that currently dominate our globe are desperately needed. When the political landscape is outright owned by industries that place profit over everything else, and corporate and colonial interests nurse authoritarianism to protect themselves, it seems the need for a radical coming together of people willing to deny the needs of such cannibalistic systems is necessary. Unity in community. Weening ourselves off of money, completely, and the challenges involved in saying ā€œnoā€ to systems that seek to reduce you to an obedient consumer, revolutionizing industry and trade into a sustainable, non-profit system…. These are other substantial challenges, but not impossible. And, in truth, exciting. Feels like we have everything to lose so why not participate?
