And so it has begun. The 19th edition of the world's greatest motoring adventure is afoot. This weekend saw another bout of absurd foolery as the ralliers gathered with their not-very-trusty-steeds at the Mongol Rally start line somewhere in the Czech Republic.
The opaque world of the Mongol Rally start line is difficult to impart, but here are a cluster of photograms, which partially capture the curious nature of the affair. Strong man breeze block breaking, brass band rainbow discos, car pushing to no particular avail, an adventure goddess, fire dancing, mud wrestling for sock-based victory, waking up to their new tiny-car-focused future, and dodging fire flares as they launched themselves and their tiny steeds into the rest of the planet.
May the adventure gods smile upon their escapades and their chassis remain strong.
