Fresh Thoughts Booklet | Domestic Abuse Support & Guidance

A menu that should never be on the table 🛑

Tonight, as pubs and living rooms across the country fill up, a predictable and devastating pattern begins.

For millions, match day is about drinks, food, and tension on the pitch. But for thousands of women and children, the menu tonight is entirely different. It consists of walking on eggshells, navigating volatile fuses, and facing a sharp escalation in violence the moment the whistle blows.

We cannot treat these survival tactics as a normal, accepted part of our sports culture. It is time to change what we tolerate.

Through the Fresh Thoughts initiative, @soroptimistgbi clubs are stepping up to deliver vital safeguarding resources and front-line advocacy tools. We have done the groundwork so your club can take action in your local community without having to start from scratch.

Let's work together to make home a safe place tonight. 💙
