movement does something stillness can’t, it shows you what the fabric was always going to do.
For me this one’s less about just making portraits and more about showing the woman deciding, frame by frame, how much of herself to give the camera. lace as veil, lace as skin, lace as the thing between wanting to be seen and choosing to be.
