It’s always emotional to close the event. This has been my second home, my tribe, my chosen family for 17 years of my life today. It’s taken me around the world. It’s opened my mind and my heart. It’s made me the person I am today. This was a transition year. A new team has taken over the leadership of a project that started in 2004, and that I have been involved with since 2009. I met so many people this year, for who it was their first time attending a burn. I hope with all my heart that they will not only come back, but join the team. It doesn’t belong to us. It belongs to every participant. Make it yours. Keep it weird. This is an evolving , living, mutant creature. It needs love and community, water and sun. It needs you. See you next year, on a new piece of land. Our own land. To make something magical together.

Thanks for your energy, music and kind words, as a baby burn every single one of you make my journey special. I felt that i arrived home and will do my beat to come back every year. Big hug brother!
